About Me

Hello there! I'm Danish, a Networking / Cybersecurity student and web developer based on Kuala Lumpur. I’m a curious beginner exploring the world of cybersecurity and networking. I spend my free time messing around with homelabs to learn how systems work, especially on Unix-based platforms. I’m getting the hang of web development, building simple tools and projects to sharpen my skills. Right now, I’m focused on learning the fundamentals of networking, system security, and ethical hacking—one step (and one broken VM) at a time.

Personal Vulnerable Lab

Personal Vulnerable Lab

I built a personal pentesting lab using Kali Linux and Metasploitable2 to simulate real-world attack scenarios in a safe, isolated environment.

This project walked me through the full attack chain—reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, and privilege escalation—using tools like Nmap, Nikto, Hydra, and Metasploit. I documented the process in a professional-style report to sharpen both my technical and communication skills.

DIY Network Security Dashboard with Wazuh

DIY Network Security Dashboard with Wazuh

Deployed Wazuh SIEM in a homelab setup to monitor logs and detect suspicious activity on a Linux system. Configured log forwarding, built custom alerts, and explored real-time system monitoring to understand how security teams detect and respond to threats.

This project gave me hands-on experience with blue team concepts, threat visibility, and working with a real-world SIEM tool.
